Nazuki Garden brings Japanese culture and a fine dining experience to the heart of London. Positioned centrally, just by Warren Street station, Nazuki is open for lunch and dinner every day and despite having only been established in 2021, has already attracted the attention of some of the city’s biggest stars, included actor Bill Nighy. The space is intimate and unassuming, creating a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. Small wooden tables are complemented by traditional lanterns hanging overhead and beautiful, brightly-coloured wall murals showing typical Japanese icons and scenes.
The extensive menu spans literally hundreds of choices from flame grilled chicken teriyaki to tempura vegetables and seafood, alongside sushi platters, mini bowls and noodles. You can also try a Bento Box, perfect for lunch time, which offers a mixture of the menu’s best choices including miso soup, nigari and gyozas. For dessert, try the Dorayaki, which are Japanese pancakes, smothered in strawberries and cream, chocolate ganache or green tea and red bean, or the mille crepe cakes cube flavoured with green tea.
But a visit to Nazuki isn’t just about the food – this independent restaurant is also passionate about giving Londoners an authentic experience when it comes to drinks, too. On the cocktail menu, diners will find the Nazuki Plum Mojito which mixes sake, plum wine, lime and mint leaves, or the Sakura Pink with sake, lychee liqueur, cranberry juice and sakura cress. These typical ingredients pop up across the drinks menu; there’s a whole sake section in case you’re keen to try something a little stronger than a cocktail, as well as plum wines. Ask your server for advice and they’ll be happy to share their favourites and help you match a tipple to your meal.
