Modelled on the exploits of Jules Verne's globetrotting Victorian adventurer Phileas Fogg, this height-of-Empire curiosity will be a camp hoot to lovers of theme bars. Think Jacob Rees-Mogg joins the cast of Carry On Up The Khyber. Colonial caboodle fills the space (you can't miss the full-scale model of a wagon-lit carriage), and pallid maidens in blood-red gowns serve premium-liquor-laced cocktails from a 'sensory menu'.
As at Fogg's four other establishments (the Mayfair original still the best), successes such as a gin, mint, chestnut and coconut-water Martini outnumber the likes of Traversing The Tropics (a fizzy-sweet dud). Dine on a varied collection of tiffin: from toasted crumpets to crickets, mealworms and grasshoppers if you're up for a bush-tucker trial.
