With its three locations spread across London, Morty & Bob’s is a great place to stop for a delicious bite to eat in the city. This hotspot is the place to go where you can enjoy everything from pastries to brunch, lunch, dinner, and everything in between — be it a quick coffee, fresh juice, cocktail, wine, or a pint. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, reflecting a relaxed and friendly vibe. When it comes to food, the menu features comfort food paired with delicious drinks, drawing inspiration from both American and European cuisines. But the main passion of the team lies in crafting food and drinks made with love.
The name Morty & Bob's comes from the owner, Charlie's, grandfathers. After the war, Bob was a fruit and veg buyer at the Old Spitalfields Market, and Morty owned a restaurant in downtown Montreal. The two are the inspiration behind everything for their grandson Charlie, who crafted the brand's famous grilled cheese street food stall in the Netil Market, and after opening a series of restaurants from 2015, Charlie has expanded the menu to include all day snacks, large plates, coffee and a London suppliers focused bar – but all still include the grilled cheese.
At breakfast time, enjoy an everything bagel plate with NYC favourites of London smoked salmon, chive cream cheese, homemade bread and butter pickles and lemon. The potato mille-feuille is always a popular option, and is like a super tasty, posher take on a hash brown. The Hemingway Daiquiri is a refreshing blend of rum lime, maraschino and grapefruit, whilst the Espresso Martini tiramisu is a deliciously naughty take on the coffee classic dessert.
