This small expanding chain has set the bar reasonably high among burger aficionados. The main attraction, made from well-aged Hereford beef, takes a side step from the usual toppings. Though there are classic combos, there’s more emphasis on the Smoking Bandit, that comes literally smoking to the table, say, or the Truffle Shuffle, which involves truffle in its mayo and glaze as well as other delicacies. If burgers aren’t your thing, try their beef dogs, fried chicken (free range, of course) and Jacobs Ladder. There’s no alcohol licence (nor any pork products – this is a halal-friendly business), but the shakes list is a guilty pleasuredome. How does real fig and cinnamon with vanilla ice cream sound? Or peanut butter, banana and brownie? Sounds like a yes please to us.
