Start off by enjoying ardennes pate with fruit chutney, mixed leaves and toasted bread, the pan fried king scallops with roasted butternut squash, smoked bacon and white wine fricassee. Also on the starter menu are slow roasted BBQ pulled pork samosas with an oriental salad and soy dressing, and pan fried North Essex curried venison haunch skewers with Bombay potatoes, cucumber and mint yoghurt and poppadom. Follow that up with a pan fried 8oz rib eye steak surf and turf, with a potato rosti, grilled mushroom and tomato and a choice of sauce. Additions to the main menu is the North Essex pigeon breast with creamed potato, chives and red wine jus, a braised feather blade of beef, and a grilled seabass fillet with sauteed new potatoes, mixed olives, spinach and tomato sauce.
Finish off with a raspberry panna cotta Eton mess with a mixed berry compote, meringue and Chantilly cream, and a deliciously rich and buttery apple tarte tatin topped with butterscotch sauce and salted butter caramel ice cream. If you want to end on a lighter note, try the trio of essex luxury sorbet, or the Mason's cheeseboard.
