Pakoras, dressed in gram flour butter and herbs before being deep fried, and a kebab selection such as minced lamb with fresh coriander and spices, fresh salmon and chicken tikka.
Maisha specialises in seafood, as Bengali cuisine has always marinated fish as an integral theme. On the menu, diners can expect to find the Scottish mas bhuna, made with fresh Scottish salmon, marinated with fresh garlic, ginger, turmeric, green chilli and lime juice, before being fried with mustard oil, onions, tomatoes and aubergein. In another dish, large Bangladeshi freshwater giant king prawns are marinated overnight in rich herbs and spices before being cooked in a thick sauce.
