This café/restaurant-cum-deli is the star attraction of the old Corn Hall development in the historic market town of Cirencester. Opened in 2008 by chef/proprietor James ‘Bob’ Parkinson (a protégé of Simon Hopkinson), it comprises a smart, whitewashed & oak-beamed eatery dominated by a huge open kitchen. Expect a daily changing menu of precise, modern dishes made using seasonal & locally sourced produce. Meanwhile, the deli counter & grocery look to Italy & France, with tall shelves displaying all manner or provisions, bottles & dry goods, plus a selection of charcuterie, cheeses, salads & ready-made sauces – not forgetting home-baked breads, billowing meringues & marvellous cakes. Note: no bookings.
