Hey, listen - you can go out for a tasty meal and a few drinks any night of the week in London, a city with so many options when it comes to the food scene. So, what about doing something a little different? Hidden in plain sight in bustling Liverpool Street is a Lucky Voice, a royally fun bar, restaurant and karaoke venue where you can spend the evening warbling along to your favourite singers.
First, enjoy a few cocktails in the industrial-style bar which boasts exposed-brick walls, black metalwork and overhead piping. The brutalist furnishings give the space a real edge, and offer an interesting contrast to the novelty karaoke booths, too. To say the bar is well stocked would be an understatement; here, you'll find a long list of spirits, rose, red, white and sparkling wines, and plenty of beers and ciders.
If you fancy getting a little crazy, try a shooter, with flavours like the Cake Pop, which mixes limoncello, frangelico, lemon juice and sugar syrup. We also like the sound of the sharers, such as the I Can't Feel My Face, which serves up to eight people and includes servings of dark matter spiced rum, goslings black seal, bacardi carta blanca, two drifters overproof spiced pineapple rum, raspberry puree, orgeat syrup, lime juice, pineapple juice and tropical redbull. Plus, there's plenty of cocktails, too, all named after your favourite songs. For example, the Single Ladies with mirabeau rosé gin, nc’nean organic botanical spirit, aperol aperitivo, watermelon syrup, lime juice and lemonade.
Food wise, there's plenty to dig into between small plates of King prawn and chorizo skewers or steamed duck gyozas, a whole host of pizzas and wraps, bao buns and sliders, stuffed with delicious fillings like salt beef and crispy duck. Finally, for afters its all about the churros with dark chocolate sauce. We mean, name a better crowd pleaser?
