Christmas is all about breaking down barriers and bringing people together - just look at Scrooge and Tiny Tim, they were best friends by the end of that story, and that's what we're aiming for here. So, where better to make your boss your best mate, than at a work Christmas party in the belly of Liverpool Street's Lucky Voice. What could go wrong?
The Liverpool Street branch has enough space for between six and 25 people in its pods, and each booking can enjoy two hours of recklessly screaming Christmas songs into the void. Sounds fun, doesn't it? In the room, you'll be treated to a fancy touch-screen karaoke interface so that you can choose between the 11,000 tunes on offer. There's even a 'Thirsty' button, so that you can order cocktails right to your pod from the bar, without having to put down the mic.
If you do want to spend some time in the bar, though, it's a great place to hire out for some drinks, nibbles and general chats before your booking. After all, once the music starts it might be hard to have that deep chat with your office crush, so get it in beforehand.
And, speaking of nibbles, the team have put on a banging festive menu this year with plenty of traditional treats. To start, order a selection of finger food, from pigs in blankets with cranberry ketchup, to roast turkey stuffed yorkies with cranberry gravy and mini beef sliders with sprout slaw. For dessert, check out the crispy Christmas pudding and brandy sauce, alongside blood orange sorbet and mince pies. There's even a whole host of festive pizzas to enjoy, with toppings like turkey, pigs and cranberry, as well as spiced pumpkin, fig and spinach - delicious!
