Luckenbooths, Edinburgh is an all-day dining restaurant serving the very best of Scottish produce from their prime location on the famous Royal Mile. From breakfast through to dinner, you will find a selection of quality menus, plus a children’s menu from this family friendly restaurant. Luckenbooths is located in Edinburgh Old Town, close to many attractions such as St. Giles’ Cathedral, and Edinburgh City of Chambers. During the warmer months, Luckenbooths also has a terrace which enjoys views over the city.
The all day menu is served from 12 noon until late. You will find a selection of large and small plates, plus a grill menu and salad bowls. Starters and smaller plates include Campbell’s haggis and beef bon bons served with peppercorn and rosemary mayo, and a whisky glazed Scottish smoked salmon served with capers and caviar.
Larger plates include dishes such as braised beef shin pie served with buttered greens, and pan roasted chicken breast served with sweetcorn and harissa.
Vegetarian options include roasted cauliflower rice served with crispy chickpeas and smoked almonds, and a sticky tempura dish served with chilli sauce and basil salad. There are plenty of side dishes to accompany your meal, such as Scottish new potatoes served with black garlic mayo, and heritage tomato salad served with lemon and poppy seed oil. If you’re looking for a lighter meal or lunch there is also a soup and sandwiches menu which includes a ploughmans croque madame and a haggis sub.
Desserts may include Cranachan tea cake served with shortbread, marshmallow and raspberry, and a homemade ginger bread served with roasted pear and a brown butter caramel. There is a large and varied drinks menu including beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. There is also a good children’s menu which covers many popular dishes.
