Formerly The Lost Angel, this Battersea Park familiar was rebadged in 2017 as Lost & Co Putney’s sister. Some elements have survived the cull – the random repainted telephone box, the junkyard garden – but the Edwardian central bar has been swept away and the new design is a mess, especially the mish-mashy rear saloon. Food and drink provide better reasons to visit, notably pizzas with tasty toppings such as spinach, caramelised pear, goats’ cheese, walnuts and honey; or meatballs, sun-blushed tomatoes, artichokes and spring onions. Alternatively, go for burgers, salad wings or nachos – aimed at Lost’s 18-40 party-hearty target crowd. Purity’s Longhorn IPA is our pick of the draught pints; otherwise choose from various mid-priced, mid-market cocktails with highlights including Rise and Shine (an Earl-Grey-infused gin and orange marmalade Sour), cool classic Boulevardier (a Negroni where rye whiskey replaces the gin), and a Vodka Mule made with blood orange and cinnamon.
