Beauty and health hotspot Linnaean has completed the wellness full-house by adding this stunning restaurant to its line-up of café, spa and apothecary. Designed to provide a holistic approach to good eating, the modern eatery provides a calming respite from busy city life, situated within close proximity to both the riverside and the green expanses of Battersea Park, in the ever-evolving Nine Elms neighbourhood.
The interior of the restaurant is Insta-ready, with a beautiful flower ceiling set aglow by clever lighting and complemented by chic pink furniture and cool tones throughout. With brass accents and pastel decor adding a stylish finish, the pretty restaurant is a calming haven.
The menu is just as reviving as the design, thanks to a kitchen which takes a mainly plant-based approach to the dishes, though flexitarian and gluten-free diets are accommodated just as well as vegans in dishes which incorporate well-sourced ingredients such as lucuma, maca root, maitake mushrooms, ginseng and much more from around the globe. Sustainability and seasonality are also major influences on the menu, as too a focus on nutrition.
Linnaean’s signature brunch offering comes complete with scrambled eggs, bacon tempeh, beetroot chorizo, stewed beans, sweet potatoes and courgette with mint and avocado so you won’t miss sausage, bacon and black pudding. The clean-eating lunch options are just as wholesome, with salmon poké bowls, vibrant veggie goodness bowls and hearty stews. Flavours are creative and innovative; try the parsnip ‘ribs’ and aubergine escalivada, which take smoky to another level.
The drinks menu continues the well-sourced theme, curated from fine ingredients, with a fantastic line-up of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including a hibiscus and rose-infused Martini Bouquet and a passionfruit and Seedlip-based Tropical Plunge. The bar also tailors to patrons with a penchant for stronger liquors, offering imported piscos, rums, whisky and Tequila.
