Lewinnick Lodge is a stunning hotel and restaurant based right on the cliff edge of Pentire headland, just a short drive from the centre of Newquay. Boasting wonderful sea views, the restaurant prides itself on serving dishes which showcase the area's wonderful local produce, but the varied menu also takes influence from a number of different global cuisines. Its casual ambience means that Lewinnick Lodge is brilliantly suited to all occasions, whether you're simply wanting to pop in for a drink after a coastal walk, or are on the hunt for a hearty meal.
From the outside, Lewinnick Lodge is instantly impressive as it's almost been built into the side of the cliff to give customers the feeling that they're as close to the sea as possible. The inside of the restaurant has a stylish, comtemporary feel to it with the dining room's white walls and large windows ensuring it constantly feels bright and airy. Doors lead out onto a breath-taking terrace area where you can dine and drink al fresco during the summer while watching the sun set over the headland.
In terms of the food offering, the days begin with a breakfast menu that includes everything from American-style pancakes to a full Cornish breakfast. From lunchtime onwards you can order from the main menu which features both sandwiches and nibbles, and more substantial dishes. Specials change monthly depending on the season but you can expect small plates such as masala roasted cod and Korean fried chicken with sriracha mayo, while main courses might include confit pork belly and pig cheek served with a fondant potato, and Cornish crab linguini.
Lewinnick Lodge's extensive drinks list features a range of wines which can be ordered by the glass and bottle, a choice of local Cornish gins and beers, and also a selection of soft and hot drinks.
