Leon’s express aim is to change the face of fast food & it succeeds brilliantly. The counter service, speedy delivery & plastic cutlery wouldn’t be out of place in a high-street burger
chain, but the difference with Leon is you get ‘real food’ in your cardboard box. It remains ‘excellent for a pop-in lunch’, but don’t overlook the chain for a grilled sandwich or organic porridge
at breakfast – or even a quick, ethically sound dinner. It’s probably best known for ‘superfood’ salads, chilli chicken wraps & Moroccan meatballs, but monthly & seasonal specials such as
pork jambalaya or pea & squash curry normally manage to keep things interesting for regular users. Leon’s worthy message occasionally errs on the twee side, but all is forgiven when you pay the
bill.
