Le Monde Hotel can be found on the historic George Street in Edinburgh, with doors that open up to a stylishly designed space that reflects iconic vistas of countries across the world. The world tour food and drink menus will allow you to travel across the globe whilst tasting delicious flavours from a number of countries, paired with handcrafted cocktails and even an afternoon tea menu.
The small plates at Le Monde are much like starters, and can be enjoyed across the table, as sides, or mixed with other small plates for a full meal. There is a burrata topped with sun dried tomato pesto and toasted almonds, Korean corn dog made with gochujang sauce, mustard, black onion and cheese sauce, and nduja and mozzarella croquettes paired with basil aioli. Sandwiches are great lunchtime options, and come in the form of folded flatbreads that are served with Koffman skinny fries and slaw. You can choose from filling options of chargrilled fennel and olive hummus, chicken and bacon Caesar and salt beef with sauerkraut, mature cheddar and Thousand Island dressing.
We love the sound of the plant based cheeseburger filled with grilled onions and a roast garlic sauce, along with the big plate options of cider battered fish and chips with crushed peas, tartare sauce and grilled lemon, and a stem broccoli and lemon gnocchi with tomato pesto and the option to add king prawns. We definitely wouldn't be able to resist the option of adding on a baked camembert bread round sharer, with plum and apple chutney, or the Italian charcuterie board. Polish off a great meal with a cookie dough ice cream sandwich stuffed with popcorn ice cream and salted caramel sauce, the chocolate and hazelnut crepes with caramelised banana and whipped mascarpone, or the selection of toffee apples and truffles.
