Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa is located just outside the stunning West Pennine moors, and home to a wealth of drinking and dining options. From brunch to dinner and afternoon tea, its all-day menus cater for every type of occasion. Plus, you don't have to be a guest here to pay a visit.
If you fancy a drink and a couple of snacks, the Courtyard Bar is a cosy area spread over two levels that boasts stunning views of the gardens and surrounding meadows. Guests can tuck into the all-day menu, which features a selection of light bites, main courses, sandwiches, paninis and desserts. Enjoy a light lunch or relaxed dinner alongside one of its draught ales, perhaps while watching a football match on its large TV. You can also enjoy breakfast and brunch at the Courtyard Bar throughout the week, from a traditional Lancashire breakfast with all the trimmings, to breakfast rolls and eggs any way. Not to mention afternoon tea, which is served every day either in the comfy bar and lounge areas, or out on the alfresco terrace.
The Courtyard Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy an elegant dinner. Formerly the old stables, the dining room offers a quintessentially rustic feel with oak beams, stone features and candlelit tables. The menu offers a modern take on classic British food while making use of the best possible local produce. Starters include ham hock chorizo terrine with pea puree, gribiche sauce and chargrilled ciabatta and beetroot carpaccio with charred sprouts, radicchio, candied walnuts and aged balsamic. For the main event, look out for what the market fish of the day is, or opt for classic dishes like the confit duck leg served with savoy cabbage, fondant squash and cherry gel. While a global wine list offers something to suit every palate.
