The concept of Kipling's was created 17 years ago by Pervis and Rafiq known to regulars as ‘RAF’, with a passion for authentic Indian cuisine and a desire to present it combined with Western influences. The name was taken from the famous author and poet, Rudyard Kipling, an English gentleman living in India. With the design of the restaurant created by Pervis's wife, Debbie and the food created by Tarik our chef, the result was something quite unique with an unusual ambiance It was not a typical "curry house" as the British people had come to know. The result was a relaxed and unique setting with an untypical ambiance when we opened our doors in Greengates, Bradford, 17 years ago. Tarik, our chef has remained loyal to us to this day.
Our vision was an instant success as our popularity grew thanks to the recommendations from our loyal clientele and winning many awards from all over Britain and consistently very favourable reviews in the media.
