A mighty Turkish chain with over 200 branches, Kahve Dünyasi has brought its eastern coffee-shop delights to Piccadilly with the launch of a heavily branded store/café. It’s a vast space,
droolingly done out like a huge chocolate box containing all manner of branded mouthfuls (dragees, truffles, marzipan, toy chocs, assorted madlens and more besides), supplemented by an array of
cakes and pastries at very fair West End prices (chocolate pizza anyone?). You can even get chocolate fondues and ice cream in a ‘chococup’. If something savoury is required to balance all that
cocoa-fuelled, saccharine sweetness, dip into the choice of sandwiches, quiches and other fill-ups. Of course, there’s hot chocolate to drink, plus potent, heart-pumping Turkish coffee too – check
out the silky variant traditionally thickened with salep (ground orchid root).
