This glamourous club in the heart of Mayfair has played host to the likes of Idris Elba’s birthday, the NME Award’s after party and Plan B’s clothing line launch since opening in 2018 – as well as a list of regular VIP guests. Quickly gaining notoriety as the place to party in the capital, or at least it is for ‘Londoners in the know’ according to its Instagram page, Kadie’s Club stays open until the early hours of the morning for guests to dance the night away.
Behind a discrete entrance on Swallow Street, guests descend its staircase to a British-cum-art-deco lounge complete with checkerboard flooring, burnished copper walls, exposed brick walls and armchairs adorned with plush cushions. Filament bulb lighting on the ceilings and walls omit a golden glow over the space to create a warm and welcoming lounge feel - the perfect setting to catch up with a friend over a glass (or bottle) or champage.
The room holds up to 170 people standing, or 90 seated, as well as a Funktion-1 sound system, two Nexus mixers and the option to host catered events if required.
But what would a night club be without a dedicated drinks menu? Kadie Club’s black and white panelled cocktail bar serves a curated selection of seasonal cocktails, mixed drinks, wines, champagnes and spirits and possesses a 3am alcoholic license so the fun never stops.
It doesn’t specify a dress code, although guests are asked to ‘approach their evening’s wardrobe deliberately and with a sense of occasion’, welcoming anyone who is dressed with personality, purpose and originality. That’s told us, then.
From the interiors to the cocktails, to the uniform detail, Kadie’s Club radiates a special sense of occasion and undeniably, the element of surprise. Whether a returning guest or newly enlightened, be prepared to experience the unexpected.
