Jones & Sons was founded back in 2013 by Andy Jones, and the popularity of the Dalston site has spread, with Jones & Sons now opening in South Woodford. If you're a fan of the iconic Stephen Graham film Boiling Point, you may recognise Jones & Sons as the filming location. About his wonderful restaurant, Andy says “whether it's a romantic date, a casual catch-up with friends, indulging in a Sunday Roast with all the trimmings and wine, or letting loose over brunch, I want everyone to feel welcomed and cared for at Jones & Sons.”
This branch of Jones & Sons is located in South Woodford, and has been over 10 years in the making. The restaurant is housed in a Georgian mansion that has been transformed into a stunning masterpiece, where the menus reflect the seasons and offer the best of British produce that are available.
Brunch is served at Jones & Sons on Saturday and Sunday, and the menu consists of all of the things you'd expect to find during this time of day. Eggs Benedict, avocado based dishes, and shakshuka are all on the menu. You'll also be able to order buttermilk fried chicken atop waffles with fried eggs and maple syrup, the flat iron steak and eggs with hash browns, and French toast with chantilly cream and fresh berries.
The Sunday roast is the star of the show at Jones & Sons, and is served from midday until 6pm. Small plates begin the meal and include a sea trout nicoise, grilled tiger prawns and chicken Caesar salad with crispy bacon. There are several roasts to choose from, including the roast rib eye with horseradish cream, corn fed chicken supreme with sage and onion stuffing, pork belly, lamb rump, butternut squash, tofu and mushroom Wellington, or a sharing platter of all the best bits. Each roast is served with carrots, parsnips, seasonal greens, confit shallot, roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding and gravy.
