Nestled in west London’s picturesque Little Venice, overlooking the grand buildings of Warrington Crescent, Janan Restaurant & Bar is a Persian restaurant serving traditional cuisine with a modern twist. Surrounded by tree-lined avenues and tranquil canals, Janan is located in one of London’s most enchanting neighbourhoods, and feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Soak up the ambience of this unique district from Janan’s terrace, surrounded by leafy trees and ambient lighting.
Open from morning to late evening, there are a selection of all-day menus to choose from at Janan, with each one catering to a range of occasions. From hearty breakfasts to lazy brunches and evening feasts, Janan is ready and waiting to host you no matter the time of day. You can even book a special Persian-inspired afternoon tea, if you're celebrating a special occasion.
The main a la carte menu features a range of eclectic small and large sharing plates. To start, a selection of small plates and salads include the likes of hummus and baba ghanoush, alongside kask-e bademjan, a crushed aubergine dip mixed with yoghurt, crushed walnuts and chopped mint. Pick and choose a selection of dips, breads and salads to get your tastebuds going, before moving onto the main event.
Larger plates are comprised of grills and stews and all are served with your choice of saffron rice or taftoun. Look out for poussin marinated in saffron, olive oil, yoghurt, garlic and onion, lamb skewers, and lamb stew with Persian herbs, kidney beans and sun dried lime. A small selection of desserts includes classic ice cream flavours, plus rice pudding with saffron, rose water, cinnamon and cardamom.
To drink, there are a selection of softs, from teas and coffees to freshly squeezed orange juice.
