Tucked away in Preston’s bustling city centre, Heavenly Desserts has won the hearts of locals with its signature range of desserts and welcoming service. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by comfy booths, stylish interiors and a selection of sweet treats like no other. Founded in 2008 by Mohammad Imran and Yousif Aslam, this independent dessert chain has taken the UK by storm, now boasting around 20 sites all over the country. Heavenly Desserts has also seen success in the USA, Canada, Pakistan and Denmark. The prime location of this site makes it the perfect place to stop in after a day of shopping in the city centre.
The decadence starts right away here with the option of chocolate shots (or, a selection including white chocolate and Nutella). For lovers of melted chocolate, there is also a fondue option, perfect for sharing in groups of two or four. Elsewhere, you’ll find the signature selection, including the royale crepe, Lotus Biscoff Belgian waffle and secret sensations American waffle. Aside from waffles and crepes, there are plenty of other options including mochi, milk cake, cheesecake and tiramisu. One item on the menu you might not have heard of, however, is croffles. These are essentially croissants that have been pressed in a waffle iron instead of baked in an oven, and aren’t to be missed.
Alternatively, you can build your own creation, pulling out all the stops if you so wish. Choose a base (such as crepes, pancakes, waffles or brownies), then peruse the sauces and toppings. Finally, finish with a scoop of your ice cream of choice (or more than one scoop, we won’t judge). More pared-back options are available too, such as coffee, tea and ice cream on its own, but where’s the fun in that? There is also a separate vegan and gluten-free menu to ensure no one misses out on the fun.
