A port town in the administrative centre of North East Lincolnshire, Grimsby has a rich history. First recorded dates of Grimsby trace back to 866 AD when thousands of Norse invaders passed through this town on their way to inland cities. In more recent years, the town has come alive as a hub for the fish trade – with many record catches having even been had in the docks over the years. Grimsby town has several community beaches and lakefront parks for people to enjoy, so you'll always be near the water. There's plenty to do outside of exploring the town's lakes and beaches though, such as visiting the tennis centre, taking a stroll down Freeman Street Market, or paying a visit to the Time Trap Museum.
