Primrose Hill is known for being one of London's most idyllic areas; there's the grassy mound for which it's named after - with its views across the city - towering period homes with creamy facades and yummy mummys at every turn. And, at the heart of it all, is Regent's Park Road, studded with florists, cafes and boutiques.
Those who have enjoyed a stroll here will already know of Greenberry Cafe, a stalwart of the area since 2012. With its bright green awning and gingham table cloths, it fits the bill nicely of charming neighbourhood cafe.
The menu caters for all-day dining, offering a large brunch selection with homemade granola, fluffy pancakes with ricotta, banana and maple syrup, and jumbo oat porridge with honey and cinnamon. Of course, no brunch menu is complete without an 'eggs however you like' section, and Greenberry Cafe has some tasty-sounding offerings along this theme.
As well as, eggs florentine, royale and benedict, there's roast squash with cherry tomatoes, feta and pomegranate with poached eggs; shakshuka; and a full English with a vegetaraian option, too. If you still aren't satisfied, enjoy a slice of sourdough toast, decorated with the likes of fresh crab; avocados with sweet potato hummus; or smoked salmon.
Come evening and the menu opens up once again with a breadth of dishes drawing inspiration from all corners of the world. For starters expect the likes of Scotch Angus beef tartare with Burford Brown egg yolk or tempura courgette with white truffle mayonnaise and shaved Pecorino. While large plates and mains include Cornish Hake with infused coconut cream and brown shrimps, as well as Sutton Hoo chicken Schnitzel, and soba noodles with shiitake, wakame, pak choi, tofu, tamari and sake broth.
The wine list isn't available online but has been curated by the cafe's owner who favours organic and biodynamic producers, and the team are also very capable of mixing up a mean cocktail, too should you fancy something stronger.
