A small & resolutely unadorned corner pub among smarter offerings on Marylebone Lane, the Golden Eagle’s distinctive appeal comes from its singalong music sessions. On three nights a week,
including Fridays, anyone is welcome to join the crowd around the piano, as they belt out terrific songs from the musicals & the war years until closing time. Friendly staff are on hand to
lubricate dry throats with pints of London Pride or St Austell Tribute, as well as wines from a rather workaday list. Unlike other watering holes in the neighbourhood, the Golden Eagle doesn’t
outlaw boozing on the pavement after 9pm – so if the show tunes get a bit much, you can always wander out & admire the extraordinary shop window of passementerie aristocrat VV Rouleaux.
