Tucked away in the heart of Marylebone, Durrants Hotel dates back to the 18th-Century. Owned and managed by the Miller family, this grand and traditional venue has been welcoming guests for over 100 years, offering places to stay, drink and dine.
Standing as one of London’s great hotels, you can expect top-notch service and glamorous spaces, with spaces for every occasion. The main dining room offers plush leather seating and wood-panelled walls with warm lighting and white-clothed tables. The dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers menus of seasonal British food. Menus here are crafted by Executive Chef Rumel Pinnock, who brings his wealth of knowledge to Durrants Hotel, having worked at some of the city’s most prestigious establishments.
Menus are seasonally changing, with a simple a la carte that keeps up with the Durrants Hotel commitment to showcasing the best of British. Expect the likes of Cornish kern cheese souffle, or golden beetroot and ginger soup to start. This comes followed by garden pea and baby spinach risotto, pan fried hake with grilled asparagus, or chicken, leek and forest mushroom pie. Finish up with classic dessert offerings such as Yorkshire rhubarb crumble, or strawberries with clotted cream.
Elsewhere, the Spy Lounge and Wallace Room offer warm and cosy spots to tuck into afternoon tea. Complete with antique furnishings and upholstered arm chairs, relax into your seat and delve into a selection of bite-sized sandwiches, scones and freshly baked pastries, with an extensive list of teas or a glass of fizz to help wash everything down.
For a relaxing space for a couple of drinks, the George Bar offers a roaring fireplace where you can cosy up with a glass of wine after a busy day in the city, or even for a quick pre-theatre tipple.
