Based on the charming Notting Hill retail road, running from Kensington Park road to Portobello road, this Franco Manca pizzeria is well-situated within Westbourne Grove. The restaurant is in a prime location for post-shopping eats, surrounded by a great mix of up-and-coming independent boutiques and established shops. The pizzeria is walking distance to Bayswater or Royal Oak underground stations.
The exterior is all white, with wooden seating running all along the perimeters of the restaurants, perfect for soaking up the bustling atmosphere of the quaint shops and cafes, while getting a bit of sun. There are glass windows panelling the entire restaurant too, creating a light and airy space within.
The interior still feels intimate and cosy, even though it is quite spacious inside, and has a private area downstairs. The basement room can be hired out for large private parties, office meetings, or family gatherings with space for over 40 people. You can also make regular bookings for large groups of six or more. There is disabled access and loos, and baby changing facilities are available.
The decor is rustic and charming, with more wooden accents contrasting against the red-bricked walls and paintings. The floor features some pretty, colourful mosaic tiling. Light bulbs are strung around the room to create a relaxed vibe. The classic Franco Manca blackboard is a main feature in the room, proudly listing the chef’s meat or vegetarian pizzas of the day.
Check out the custom-made oven manned by the master pizzaiolos with their skilful manipulation of the doughs and peels. The sourdough is the pizzeria’s crowning glory and base for all the wonderful toppings on offer from Italy and Britain. You can also order online, have it delivered, or drop by instore to collect, for those days when you don’t want to wait for pizza.
