Franco Manca Victoria Nova
Located in the Nova building, the Franco Manca pizzeria turns out delicious hot pizzas on a regular basis to its wide fan base of customers. The artisan empire is one of the most successful Naples imports thanks to the success of its sourdough and great toppings, not to mention the custom-built ovens. The area surrounding the pizzeria is buzzing and vibrant with loads of cafes, bars, and shops.
For a post-pizza stroll, you can head to the sprawling mass of green that encompasses the remarkable Buckingham Palace; St. James Park features memorials, Horse Guards Parade, and the Queen’s swans too. The restaurant has great transport links, for trains, buses, and tubes, as it is super close to Victoria mainline station.
You’ll quickly come to realise why the restaurant is so popular when you step in through the familiar doors, and inhale the unmistakable aroma of hot pizzas fresh out the oven. There are seven pizza versions available, topped with a variety of ingredients, from San Marzano tomatoes to fennel sausages to Somerset ricotta. The wines are vegan and organic, brought in from Italian vineyards and the beers support local London brewers.
The façade of the Victoria branch is impressive, with large glass windows providing plenty of light and sunshine to filter through into the restaurant. There is a big outside seating area, perfect for the warmer days, covered by umbrellas. The interior is spacious, yet still comforting. The waiters are friendly and accommodating, quick with a recommendation or you can check out the blackboard for the daily specials.
The restaurant itself is disabled access friendly and has baby changing facilities available. The restaurant operates on a first come, first served basis so you better hurry up and grab a table. Watch the expert pizzaiolos dazzle with their skilful manipulation of the pizza.
