A welcome pit stop on the way to or from ExCel, Fox is a cavernous space on different levels with areas small enough for intimate meetings and large enough for enormous parties (there’s room for 1200 inside and another 200 on the roomy terrace). For a formal feel, pull up a chair in the sit-down restaurant area and enjoy healthy options such as chunky mozzarella with tomato and beetroot salad or a traditional roast ham sandwich. If you’re in the mood for something more substantial, go for one of the burgers from the five-strong menu; rich, melting Stilton perhaps or a classic option with mushrooms, bacon and cheddar. There’s plenty of space for informal, after-work gatherings and the sight of a pile of nachos, a cold beer and sport on the box is a welcome one after a day pounding the exhibition halls at ExCel.
