Foundry Project is a cool and contemporary spot in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Like the other offerings in the area, it’s fun, fresh, and serves incredibly tasty plates.
The food menu at Foundry Project is long, and very much mouth-watering. First up, we’re introduced to the ‘Burgers of Filth’, a selection of burgers which sound as messy and delicious as the name implies. There are a couple of classic burger options, but the menu really shines in the more unusual options, including the ‘Black and Gold’, which uses a double beef patty, Bury black pudding, American style cheese, tomato, and burger sauce.
Pizzas on offer are equally diverse, ranging from a classic mozzarella and tomato (including a vegan version), to a slightly more out-there topping combination of maple bacon, egg, mozzarella, onion marmalade, and sriracha sauce. As a side, or maybe as a dish even in itself, there are ‘Pimped Up fries’ to choose from, like cheeseburger fries, poutine fries, and millionaire’s fries, which are topped with truffle oil, cheese sauce, Italian hard cheese. Foundry Project also does a bottomless brunch option, where you can choose a dish from a set menu, and then get two hours of unlimited Prosecco, Bellinis, Mimosas, or Bloody Mary’s - sounds like a dream.
Particularly exciting in addition to these dishes is the ‘Beer Food’, a selection of delicious small plates. Choose from the likes of pulled chilli beef tacos, cheeseburger tacos, sesame chicken wings, katsu halloumi fries, and hash brown nachos (crispy hash browns, cheese sauce, spicy salsa, guacamole, and sour cream) - you can go for three for £18, or five for £27. Order a few plates to share between you and your group, get the drinks flowing, and you’ve got the foundations for a great night.
If you’re not tempted by these options, then maybe you’ll opt for Foundry Project’s brunch, which is available every day until 3pm. You're really spoilt for choice...
