Former fashion model Konrad Lindholm has swapped the catwalk for the kitchen in this trendy Dalston hangout, which manages to pack a lot of locals into a small panelled room stuffed with chintzy curios and white plank tables. Off-the-wall pizzas are one of the stars of the daily menu, but other dishes being talked about include confit duck with pea shoots and blood orange salad, pork belly and wild boar cassoulet, moules marinière, and juniper-spiked pigeon ragù on tagliatelle – plus lots of veggie stuff such as goat’s cheese and potato cake with a poached egg in a globe artichoke. Sunday lunch is a sell-out, and you can also drop by for a late breakfast of, say, home-baked beans on sourdough toast. There’s even a good choice for those who prefer a bit of cake.
