Fléur, nestled right in the middle of Leeds city centre, has made a name for itself as one of the top brunch spots in the city. Award-winning Masterchef finalist and Great British Menu contestant Bobby Geetha is in charge of the menu, so diners can count on top-notch food no matter the occasion. As the name might suggest, the interiors are stunningly floral, with colourful flowers adorning practically every surface. Outside the front of the restaurant, there is a charming terrace with little tables, ideal for brunch in the sun or an afternoon cocktail.
The famous brunch selection has something for everyone, pulling from a global range of dishes. For something middle Eastern, start off with a mezze platter featuring lamb kibbeh, halloumi spring roll, pink cheese samosa, hummus and tomato chutney. If you would prefer something from east Asia, however, you can enjoy tempura prawns with sriracha mayo or bang bang sticky wings with toasted sesame seeds. There's plenty of choice when it comes to mains too, including house eggs royale with caviar, harissa fried chicken waffle with egg or even a 'roast brunch' served in a giant Yorkshire pudding. The dinner menu follows a similarly global theme, featuring the likes of Karala salmon, slow-braised lamb steak or king prawn massaman. For dessert, the options are as decadent as they are Instagrammable, including sticky toffee pudding, saffron milk cake topped with whipped cream and brioche butter pudding with cinnamon, warm custard and strawberry.
Classic cocktails like margaritas, mojitos and pina coladas are available, as well as more exciting house creations. These include a salted caramel espresso martini, white chocolate Manhattan and 'mai Fléur', made with pineapple gin, apricot brandy and almond syrup. There is also a short and reasonably priced wine list, as well as beers, spirits and mocktails too.
