In 2013, Fiume opened its doors to customers in Compton, where owners Stefano and Carla began to extend a warm welcome to all. Drawing inspiration from their respective regions of Sardinia and Basilicata in Italy, the pair have curated a menu that presents modern interpretations of beloved classic dishes. As Italians they pay respect to the tradition of how food and drink are paramount in their cultural traditions. Traditionally, Italians gather with friends and family to enjoy these moments together, and at Fiume, the team is eager to share a taste of this vibrant culture with you.
Taking pride in being an independent, family-run establishment, providing a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, Fiume will always welcome you with open arms. On sunny days, you can also enjoy alfresco dining while watching the canal boats pass by, with your four-legged family member by your side. For an extra special occasion, you choose to celebrate in Fiume’s private dining room or enjoy catering at your own home or venue, with a personal chef, attentive waiting staff, and a custom-tailored menu to suit your needs.
The antipasti selection begins with deep fried squid in Fiume's signature seasoning, arancini balls made with slow cooked pulled pork and cheese, and polpette della nonna - a family recipe of pork and beef meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, topped with cheese. If you're dining with another guest, why not try the antipasto per due, a selection of sliced cured Italian meat, freshly baked Italian bread, grana padana, mozzarella, olives, chicken goujons coated in breadcrumbs with a sweet and spicy sauce, mozzarella and arancini.
For your main meal, you can choose from a plentiful pasta section, plenty of delicious seafood dishes, fresh pizzas and lots of steaks, chicken dishes and other items from the grill.
