Scotland is a long way from Route 66, but this Caledonian chain offers a road trip across the USA, picking up some of its greatest foodie hits along the way. Breakfast deals (two for £10) kick off the day with a bang, before the main menu hits diners with a barrage of burgers, thin-crust Chicago pizzas and New York-style calzones. But that’s just the start: also brace yourself nachos, Cajun melts, fajitas, rib-eye steaks with Kentucky bourbon sauce, ranch salads, ribs and all manner of sweet and savoury buttermilk pancakes – from sausages with maple syrup to strawberries and cream. There’s a mini-menu for ‘juniors’, and the USA takes pole position on the drinks list – expect shakes and sodas, plus Californian wines, craft beers including Jeremiah Weed Sour Mash Brew, and various stateside-themed cocktails (peanut butter martini, anyone?).
