El Rincon Quiteno is described as serving up some of the best Latin, British and New European food. Found on Holloway Road in London, the restaurant serves a selection of fresh dishes each day, all complimented by a wide selection of drinks from the well stocked bar. The restaurant has recently been refurbished, and although you'll find it off the high street, the inside is calm and welcoming, with modern furnishings, plenty of light beaming in through floor to ceiling windows, and a great selection of artwork and photos displayed on the walls. The restaurant is operated by a close-knit family, led by Jose, who brings his extensive 23 year expertise from Le Caprice restaurant in Mayfair to the community of Holloway.
Following appetisers and starters, the menu begins with pasta and rice dishes. Enjoy the summer risotto with seasonal vegetables, cream, butter and parmesan, or the seafood risotto made with carnaroli rice, mixed seafood, and plenty of cheese. If you like your greens with a bit of spice, try the chorizo broccoli pasta with chilli, or opt for the classic spaghetti bolognese. One of the restaurant's specials is the bandeja paisa, made with pork belly, beef, chorizo, beans, corn, bread, egg, rice, avocado and plantain. There are plenty of grilled dishes, including a t-bone steak, parrillada Argentina, whole rib of pork, and churrasco Ecuatoriano. Other main dishes include a classic British dish of fish and chips, along with Thai sea bass, chicken alla milanese, and bang bang salmon fillet.
Whether you’re stopping in for a midday cappuccino and light bite to eat, or sitting down with the whole family to a three course meal and enjoying the wine list, you’ll be well looked after by the team at El Rincon Quiteno.
