Clifton village in Bristol is home to the East Village, a family owned and plant based cafe that is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and of course, delicious afternoon cakes. Here, you can be sure to find a great selection of sandwiches, pastries, pancakes and homemade cakes. There is also a selection of seasonal drinks, iced coffees, smoothies, natural rainbow lattes, teas and coffee from Triple Co Roast that is based in Stokes Croft. If you’ve got well behaved doggies, you’re also welcome to bring them along.
The all day menu begins with a granola pot served with cherry compote, maple granola and soya yoghurt, along with garlic and herb mushrooms on toast. If you like pancakes, try the homemade option with syrup, blueberry compote and whipped cream.Sandwiches at East Village are all served with rocket, mustard dressing and seeds, and you can choose from a sauce choice of ketchup or sriracha. Choose fillings of marinated tempeh with roasted green pepper, pickled carrot, shredded cabbage, sriracha mayo and coriander, or vegan sausage with homemade tomato chutney and mustard mayo, caramelised onions and spinach.
Be sure to enjoy a smoothie whilst at East Village. Try the Blueberry Burst, made with blueberries, banana, almond milk and dates, or the Green Goddess with blended pineapple, mango, spinach, kale, almond milk and apple. If you want to, you can also throw in some smoothie add ons, from flax chia mix, maca powder and pea protein powder, along with a super greens mix and ashwagandha. Super lattes include the Turkish Delight Latte with beetroot powder and pink pitaya, rose water and agave, along with a red velvet option, lavender, cardamom rose, matcha and turmeric.
