Doughnation is a pizza restaurant in Covent Garden that provides some of the most delicious pizzas that you can find across London. Using artisanal ingredients and methods, Doughnation has made a solid effort of what it means to dine happily. In this restaurant, you'll be able to try pizzas that are made with the very best of ingredients, along with plenty of sides that have a dash of creativity from the globally influenced chefs.
The restaurant is housed in 3 Henrietta Street, a stunning five storey building in Covent Garden. The building is home to a few other restaurants and pastry cafes, and over the years has seen many names come and go, but today, you’ll find excellent pizza dough being tossed and topped if you stop by.
Start your meal off with a selection of bites for the table, including baked sweetcorn ribs with basil pesto and giant gordal olives marinated in lemon. When you're ready for your main, make sure to order a selection of sides and salads to eat alongside. You can choose from an English tomato and mozzarella salad with ripped basil and balsamic dressing, and of course, garlic bread (with various toppings). All the pizzas have been hand stretched, and we'd go for the pretty special sounding potato pizza topped with fontina cheese and thyme salt. For total indulgence, order the truffled mushroom ragout pizza, topped with mozzarella cheese and hazelnuts. You won't want to waste your delicious crusts at Doughnation. Order some crust dippers, like the crushed tomatoes with shallots and basil, or the basil pesto mixed with confit garlic and grated pecorino romano.
Finish things off with a delicious dessert. We’re talking about a skillet cookie with choc chip ice cream and white chocolate sauce, or the knickerbocker glory with whipped cream, poached rhubarb and Madagascan vanilla ice cream.
