This pared-back burger joint tries to stand out from the beefy competition by grinding its patties on site. Based in the Urbanest Building in King’s Cross, Cut + Grind serves up two types of beef patties – the ‘Juicy’, which is made from well-marbled cuts such as rib, chuck and brisket, and the ‘Skinny’, which uses leaner cuts such as flank and tenderloin for a lighter taste. Both options come with a choice of three different styles: the ‘Beef Brave’ served with burger béarnaise; the ‘Classic’ which adds lettuce, roast tomato, pickles and red onions; and the ‘House’, served like the ‘Classic’, but topped with home-cured maple bacon. All burgers come in a gluten-free brioche bun and are served with triple-cooked chips seasoned with oregano salt. If you don’t fancy beef, you can chow down on a grilled chicken patty with spicy mayo, while veggies can enjoy a halloumi, red pepper and hummus option. Drinks see Italian wines, beers and Prosecco, while early risers can enjoy warming breakfasts, including smoked salmon bagels with cream cheese and capers, alongside smoothies or Lavazza coffee.
