A good step below other cotes.
THe French Onion soup tasted okay but was nothing like the photo on the menu.
THe warm beetroot sald was cold.
THe steak was below par edible but not great taste.
The Monkfish was lovely, however I never found any shallots or the julienne apple and the Fennel , of which there was a lot, was cold and raw, they did offer to replace the meal but I choose to just have some cooked fennel which was supposed to take 7-8 minutes, it arrived 25 minutes later and was hot and cooked.
A side of creamed spinach was okay but had some herb added to it and gave an overwhelming taste something like perfume.
A dessert of Pear and Almond Clafoutis was very short on pears (I found 3 thin slices) and the almond custard was served in a small dish approx 20mm deep but only half filled and barely covered the few pears slices. Had little taste at all until the winter berry coulis was poored over it. Then quiote nice but only a few spoonfalls
The bill was reduced by removing the starters but of course the 10% service was still added.
Happy to use other cotes but would not return to this one.
