Coppa Club, which boasts seven venues across London and the surrounding counties, has transformed this Grade II-listed building into a truly versatile space. Coppa at The Georgian offers not just a restaurant and bar, but also an outdoor terrace, workspace, igloos and even rooms for guests to stay in. The food offering here is unfussy and modern, with a few classics peppered in for good measure. The bar, meanwhile, offers a range of botanical and classic cocktails, as well as a comprehensive list of wines, beers, spirits and bar snacks.
Start off with a garden spritz or pink peppercorn Paloma on the terrace before venturing inside for your meal. To accompany your drinks, there are plenty of tasty nibbles, including garlic and rosemary focaccia, mini chorizo, parmesan croquettes and zucchini fritti. Going larger, small plates and sharers are perfect as starters or for feast-style group dining, with options such as buttermilk fried chicken with chilli mayo and crunchy slaw, Loch Duart salmon ceviche and crispy fried squid with ponzu dip and sriracha mayo.
For something more Italian, there are pasta dishes such as bucatini carbonara and mafaldine with Tuscan sausage ragu available, as well as pizzas topped with the likes of ‘nduja, buffalo mozzarella and rocket. The house grill, however, is the main event and not to be missed. Here, you’ll find showstoppers like sea-reared trout with herb freekeh, red onion and watercress salad, boneless chicken breast and thigh with skinny fries and garlic and herb oil or a range of dry-aged steaks. The steaks come with a choice of chimichurri, truffle cream or pepper sauce and while sides feature more comfort classics like crispy roast potatoes and house slaw.
Finish with a classic dessert such as sticky toffee pudding or creme brulee, or push the boat out a little more with Basque cheesecake or even a pizza fritta dolce with toffee dipping sauce.
