Condesa is a Mexican restaurant on Whiteladies Road in Bristol, created by hospitality group, Season + Taste, which runs the likes of Gambas, Bravas and Cargo Cantina. The head chef, Season Martin from Cargo Cantina has moved to Condesa, and created a menu that is bound to leave you with the most happy smile on your face.
The menu will honour both the timeless essence of Mexican culinary traditions and the innovative spirit of more modern Mexican food, highlighting the use of fire and smoke in many of Condesa’s dishes. Among the selections on offer, expect to find delightful snacks such as Bristol cheddar quesadilla with shallots and pineapple salsa, beef tartare tostada, and crispy fried chicken wings.
From the bar, you can order a selection of snacks, like the sweet and spicy caramelised nuts, and hand cut beef tartar tostadas with habanero aioli and capers. Next up, try the queso fresco with hot agave and preserved lime, or the sea bream ceviche with grapes, red chilli and fresh herbs. Other dishes include the heritage carrots with pipian roka and pumpkin seeds, and carne asada tacos con todo. Even bigger dishes include the charred hispi cabbage with chipotle butter and smoked almonds, along with a smoked pork belly with Condesa mole and crema. Last but not least, there is the masa waffle with chocolate, dulce de leche and peanut.
For your drinks, try the bar's cocktails. enjoy a classic Tequila Margarita with Cazcabel blanco, Cointreau, lemonada, lime and salt, or the Cantaritos with Cazcabel reposado, grapefruit, orange, lime, and a pink peppercorn sherbert.
