Our biggest disappointment with Skylounge was the fact that those in control of the hotel, have decided that because someone attempted to jump from the terrace, they will keep the doors to the terrace, firmly closed from now on. The only reason why we decided to go, was to admire the cityscape,
On a more positive note, the bar had a convivial vibe for a Sunday evening, due to the fact there was a corporate function in one half of the bar. We stuck to cocktails, having had some expertly made drinks at The Soho Hotel earlier in the evening. The drinks at Skylounge were fine. Martini's and Long Island Iced Teas, had the desired effect, but lacked the finesse and attention that we experienced earlier that evening. There were no complimentary nibbles which I believe should be standard in an establishment such as this.
Amiable staff and prompt table service, with staff having the time to speak to customers. The views are fantastic, which really is the main reason why people choose this bar.
