The eclectic interior of this recent Soho arrival (formerly Jrink) is more Justin & Colin than David Collins. Strutting its stuff as a friendly, mainstream gay watering hole, Circa’s interior references 60s discotheque, Downton Abbey, a Miami Vice ‘style’ bar & a folksy Greenwich Village tavern, while the whole mishmash is echoed in a diverse range of punters: PC slave suits on a post-work wind-down, bright-eyed boyz channelling Harry from The Only Way Is Essex, caustic drag queens & Superdry guys fresh from the gym, pre-loading on shots ahead of a late, late adventure elsewhere. Bar staff dispense draught Kronenbourg & Fosters, wines from £11, & bubbles from around £20 to a poppy, urban-lite soundtrack until 1am – although they seem to have been picked for their looks rather than their ability to mix a top-drawer Vieux Carré cocktail.
