The second site for this popular neighbourhood Italian finds its home in Hove, where it serves artisan antipasti, handmade pasta and an all-Italian wine list. Its story began in 2013 when owner, and then lawyer, David Toscano bought a 1972 Fiat 850 van, kitted it out with Italian bites and headed off to a street food event in Brighton with a dream to open his own restaurant. He grew up in Sydney to Italian immigrant parents and was constantly surrounded by authentic, home-cooked food. After moving to London to work as a lawyer, he soon decided to swap his suits for chef whites to pursue his dream of opening his own restaurant.
This Hove site offers the same vibrant and friendly atmosphere that’s become synonymous with the brand. Serving seasonal small plates, handmade pastas, aperitifs and wines from across Italy, it offers an elegant but relaxed place to dine with friends and family. While the dining room revolves around a central counter which allows guests to feel immersed in the action.
Take a seat and let a series of small plates be delivered to you.
