''A few years ago, we began dreaming of a place that would embody our passions, vision, and energy. As fate would have it, we stumbled upon the perfect location on Redchurch Street,” says the team behind Chiave, a neighbourhood restaurant that makes the most welcoming space for guests, one where you can enjoy the tastiest of beers, spirits and wines, along with an exceptional cocktail list and a playlist of equally great music. You can boogie the night away in one area, chill out in another, and converse at the bar.
The cocktail menu starts off with the Capybara, a blend of Tanqueray No. 10, palo santo, rose sakura and jasmine verte, before the addition of The Confidential, which is a blend of Ron Zacapa, purple carrot, tamarind and cacao. Other cocktails include the Don Julio based Limbo, Belvedere and vermouth mix Spy Break, and Everleaf Mountain Rehab Na.
Quite new, this cocktail bar is split across two floors, and the main focus of the venue is to pay particularly careful attention to bespoke drinks made by the top notch mixologists. Chiave actually means key in Italian, and to be here definitely feels like you've found the key to somewhere special. Chiave has been dreamt up by a Turkish couple, Selin Duren and Cem Ozden, who have worked in the hospitality industry across Europe. Chiave is the brainchild of the pair, and so the vibe is very much a calm space with minimalistic decor and beautiful art sprawled around.
Although there isn't exactly a food menu, you can get a few snacks from the bar to pair with your cocktails and wine, such as a selection of cheese and meats, crackers, tinned fish and blinis with caviar.
