If you are the type of person who likes to indulge in a spot of retail therapy from time to time (or perhaps more regularly than you should), you will know that trying on clothes and carrying around an armful of shopping bags really helps you to work up an appetite. Latin American restaurant Cha Cha, which already boasts outlets in Maida Vale and Mayfair, has found the solution, opening up a new site inside a boutique fashion store.
Cha Cha’s Notting Hill branch is found inside the Sister Jane townhouse, which is something of a playground for high-fashion enthusiasts. Split across three floors, the townhouse features the Cha Cha dining room on the ground floor, while the second floor is home to Sister Jane’s popular collection of vintage-inspired clothing and the top floor is reserved for post retail therapy cocktails at the rooftop bar.
Although intended as a pre- or post-shopping dining spot, Cha Cha is open all day, keeping shoppers stomach’s filled from breakfast right through to dinner. The breakfast/brunch menu features the classic dishes you would expect to find, such as eggs benedict and crushed avocado on toast, but also throws some Latin American staples into the mix, including a pancake made from cachapa corn, which is stopped with pulled short rib and truffle ricotta.
If you are visiting in the afternoon or evening, you can dine from the all-day menu, which is divided up between snacks, fish, meat and veggie dishes. Options to choose from include a king prawn poke bowl and robata duck skewers, while you can finish up on an indulgent note thanks to half-baked cookies served with dulce de leche and gin flavoured ice cream.
Cha Cha also offers a fun selection of signature cocktails, as well as sharing cocktails designed for 2-3 people if you are in a group.
