Castle St Townhouse has a little bit of everything - whether it’s drinks at 2am or porridge at 9am, this is the place to go. The interior has a New York-meets-Oxford vibe, with plush velvet booths decorated with Bodleian readers’ lamps set opposite their glamorous, mirrored cocktail bar. On a date? You can talk all night: the bar doesn’t shut till 2am.
A five minute walk from the pier, this all-day dining restaurant is most well-known for its bottomless brunch. Each bottomless brunch comes with unlimited Prosecco and is served all day - until 9pm Sunday to Thursday, and until 5pm Friday and Saturday. Customers can enjoy anything on the menu with their prosecco, from the house Caesar salad to a vegetarian full English.
The main menu is wide-ranging and decadent, with dauphinoise potatoes, mac and cheese and halloumi fries being just some of the side dishes on offer. The restaurant also offers a selection of sharing plates, including a whole baked camembert for the table. If you’re a fan of steak, Castle St Townhouse has you sorted. As well as having several different steaks, the main menu also includes steak salad, steak sandwiches and offers a Steak Night every Tuesday. Aside from Steak Nights the restaurant also holds Wine Wednesdays and Fizz Fridays, so it's worth checking out their social media page for the latest offers.
The dessert menu is full of British classics, like sticky toffee pudding and Cheshire ice cream, as well as American favourites like the chocolate brownie, which comes with hot fudge sauce and vanilla ice cream. There are a range of dessert cocktails, finished with chocolate and vanilla. Try the Chocolate Martini, made with Bailey’s, Absolut Vanilia and chocolate liqueur. Castle St Townhouse also offer 16 different gin and tonics and a selection of fruity cocktails, including Pornstar Martinis and a Mango Guava Margarita.
