Casa Brasil is in Port Solent, just outside Portsmouth city centre. The large outdoor seating area provides views of the marina and into the surrounding Hampshire countryside that lies beyond.
The food menu comprises a selection of BBQ’d meats served with all you can east tapas style salads. Meat options include chorizo, chicken wings, pork ribeye with parmesan, chicken piri piri, beef and gammon. The line up of accompanying salads features coleslaw, new potato salad, chopped salad, pasta salad and mixed olives. There’s also hot side dishes, such as feijoada (a Brazilian stew of black beans and pork), beef meatballs in tomato sauce, macaroni cheese and creamy mushrooms.
Tiger king prawn and vegetarian are the other two varieties of skewer. The vegetarian option is either grilled vegetables and halloumi with tomato salsa or, for those not after a skewer, spinach and ricotta tortellini in a creamy pesto and mushroom sauce. Side dishes are the same whether you order meat, prawns, vegetables or pasta.
Deals are run on Monday and Tuesday, such as a chicken and pork version of the main menu available at a cheaper price. Five types of pork are on offer: sausage, gammon, ribeye, belly and loin.
