Owners Stonegate have revamped what was previously spook-themed curiosity, The London Stone. Out goes the goth get-up, in comes a fresher look. A feature beer wall provides pints from Brewdog, Meantime (Yakima Red) and other London big boys. On the hand-pulls, you’ll find the likes of The Mayor of Garratt, a deep chestnut bitter from Wimbledon outfit By The Horns. Interesting premium gins are served with house tonic, and cocktails are cannily aimed at a young City party crowd – who’ll likely be well up for Sex On The Beach and Long Island Iced Tea at £17 a pitcher. Alternatively, Chilean Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot won’t break most banks at around £15. Nor will sub-£10 grub that includes various sausage and pie and mash combos, nachos and salads, with classic stickies to follow. Quiz nights, open-mic sessions and deals on meals and drinks are also part of the new plan.
