Bread Meats Bread began with a passion for great burgers and has surely evolved into one of Glasgow's favourite burger joints. The team champions using independent and local suppliers where possible, and you'll taste that high quality in every bite.
The menu is full of classic burgers, such as a royale with American cheese, fresh onions, thinly sliced pickles, ketchup and yellow mustard, along with the posh bmb with a dry aged beef burger with smoky mozzarella, grilled mushrooms, crispy bacon, fig jam, slow onions and truffle mayo. For something a bit more special and unique, opt for one of the specialty burgers. You can choose from the Ayia Napa burger with crispy bacon rashers, grilled halloumi, sticky BBQ sauce and slow onions, or sunshine on beef with smoky mozzarella, pulled beef brisket and gochujang mayo.
Chicken burgers include the angry bird with fried chicken smothered in buffalo sauce, chillies and jalapenos, mellowed down with blue cheese mayo on crunchy lettuce. For a sub, try the chicken fajita option with grilled free range buttermilk chicken strips, smothered in gooey cheese and topped with grilled peppers, sauteed onions and garlic mayo. Plant based options include the uber tasty alba truffle burger with a grilled Moving Mountains patty with plant based cheese, grilled mushrooms, meat free bacon, fig jam, crispy fried onions and vegan truffle mayo.
On the side of your burger, you should consider ordering some poutine – a true Canadian classic. The smoky pastrami poutine is made with house chips, fresh curds and house gravy topped with smoky beef pastrami and drizzled with a tangy house sauce. Something a little different, the Tater Tot poutine dish of crispy, fluffy tots are topped with fresh cheese curds, beefy gravy and spring onions.
